CLA Announces Address Verification Dates

Back-to-School 2026-2027

How do I find out my child’s teacher for the 2026-2027 school year?

We are excited to welcome our Chargers back for another amazing school year! To help make Open House as smooth and enjoyable as possible, we encourage all families to complete Address Verification before Open House.

Address Verification Dates:
Dates: July 28–31
Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: Cason Lane Academy Front Office

Bring your required Proof of Residency documents, and once your address has been verified, we will provide you with your child’s teacher assignment. By completing this step ahead of time, you will be able to go directly to your child’s classroom during Open House to meet their teacher!

What if I am not able to stop by during July 28-31st?

You may complete Address Verification during Open House on Wednesday, August 5, from 4:30–6:30 PM in the gym.

Please note: All families who have not completed Address Verification must report to the gym first to complete the process before receiving their child’s teacher assignment. Teacher rosters will not be posted, and families will not be able to skip this step.

MCS Acceptable Proof of Residency

Each year, parents/guardians are required to provide one acceptable proof of residency dated within the prior month that includes the parent/guardian’s name and current address.

Acceptable documents include:

  • Water bill
  • Garbage bill
  • Electric bill
  • Mortgage statement
  • Rent/lease agreement (if less than 30 days from the start date) with confirmation of utility services
  • Closing/Final Buyer’s Statement (if less than 30 days from move-in date) with confirmation of utility services
  • If residing with another family: a completed notarized Residency Affidavit, two proofs of residency from the primary homeowner, and a photo ID (contact the school office for affidavit forms)
  • Parent/guardian’s state or federally issued photo identification
  • Current proof of custody of the child, if parents are divorced, separated, or unmarried

Important Notice

Tennessee law prohibits fraudulent student enrollment, including providing a false address or fraudulent affidavit. Any parent/guardian who fraudulently enrolls a student may be responsible for reimbursing the school district for the per-pupil expenditure associated with that student’s enrollment.

Thank you for helping us prepare for a smooth and successful start to the 2026–2027 school year. We cannot wait to see our Charger families soon!
